We Stood the Test

We Stood the Test!

The furnace was heated seven times hotter than ever before!

Me and my friends stood and we stared into a face that had  a sinister grin.

“You will either bow or burn,

A lesson you’ll learn for disobeying my command!

I glanced to my left, and then to my right.

Knowing what the others would do!

We all three joined hands, we lifted our heads,

Then I said,

“We made up our minds,

And maybe we’ll burn?

But be sure of this

We are Hebrew, and we will not turn!”

In the fire we went, bound hand and foot,

The coals were glowing and hot!

For a moment I thought, perhaps we are dead?

For no pain could I feel upon me!

Shadrach and Abednego were starring at me.

Smiling through the ash and the smoke!

We began to dance and shout and worship the Lord,

Then I felt another hand on me!

I turned about and without a doubt,

The Lord was standing beside me!

We came out of the fire without the smell of smoke,

We stood the test and God did the rest!

My Worship!

“My Worship!”

I am going to dance and shout,

I may run all about!

I am going to show the enemy

What worship is all about!

It does not matter,

How I feel!

High or low the enemy will know,

My worship is real!

Before the music starts,

Before they touch a guitar string!

Before the first drum beat,

I will be on my feet!

My hands will be raised,

My mouth filled with praise!

For God’s grace has kept me,

Through long weary days!

I am where I am,

Because of the blood of the Lamb!

I will exalt His name,

His glory proclaim!

The enemy will know,

My worship’s no game!

Jesus Christ saved me,

I will never be the same!

I am going to dance and shout,

I may run all about!

I am going to show the enemy,

what worship is all about!

God Can Hear Your Teardrops Fall

God Can Hear Your Teardrops Fall

It was one of my times in life,

When nothing seemed to be going right.

My heart was filled with heartache and strife.

I had spent some days in a cloud of despair,

Wondering why life seemed so unfair.

I stared into the emptiness,

of a dark lonely room.

Tears began to fall.

That is when His sweet Holy Spirit came,

He spoke to me, as if I heard my name.

Not a thunderous roar, nothing shook the floor.

More like a whisper,

soft, deliberate, and slow.

He said to me,

in my heart ‘I know’

“I can hear your tear drops fall.”

A God that close!

The Lord of host!

Would get that close to me?

So close He can hear my tear drops fall?

Then the tears really came,

I let them fall upon the ground

Freely giving Him my all.

All my burdens,

All my strife,

All the hurt that was in my life.

Tears of sorrow changed in me,

to tears of thankfulness.

To know my savior understands,

To thank Him for His faithfulness.

So when life is tough,

And your in a season of dreadful doubt.

When sorrow seems to brake about

Remember this as you sit alone.

The ‘Great I Am’ upon His throne,

Will bend an ear towards you!

Casting all your cares on Him,

Let your burdens fall,

Let those tears change in you,

For God can hear your teardrops too!
